It Was a Geranium and Lemonade Afternoon

I was busy yesterday, I bought more geraniums, planted more geraniums, watered more geraniums and made lemonade.  I just couldn't resist buying more of the red, pink, and white geraniums when they are priced at only .99 each.  The red ones I planted a few weeks back are growing like mad and getting really tall and colorful.   They're so bright and hardy for this wild, unpredictable weather we have in the Midwest.  Yesterday afternoon, Mr. B. and I started a small floral garden in the front yard of the yellow brick house, after we were finished digging holes and planting flowers, I made my own lemonade.  I don't know why, but I have been craving lemonade lately.  My body must be in need of more vitamin C.

Here's a really simple lemonade recipe:
Add 1 cup of sugar to 1 cup of boiling water, stir to dissolve the sugar.
Squeeze 4 to 6 lemons to get 1 cup of lemon juice.                             Add lemon juice to sugar water.
I dry out the lemon & orange peels in a dish, then add essential oil & cloves to make potpourri
Stir in 3 to 4 cups of water, depending on how sweet you like your lemonade.  Be sure to use distilled water--makes everything taste better.  I put lots of crushed ice in my glass and fill it up, it's delicious and so refreshing after spending the afternoon working in the sun.

My laundry room is only 7/8 (Mr. B. terminology) from being finished, and I know I really should not distract Mr. B. from that impending job, but my flowers needed a home.
The beginnings of a small flower garden.
