Meanwhile, Down By The River

I guess everyone else thought it was too cold outside today
This morning it looked absolutely beautiful outside.  All three of my furry friends were staring me down whilst sitting in front of the front door. That's a hint I think.  I packed three doggies up plus one beautiful daughter and away we went.  I live surrounded by water.  I live across the street from a river and less than five minutes away, traveling by car, is a beautiful lake.  We went for a walk in the park by the water, I was surprised to see there wasn't ice getting jammed up in the river.
The park was empty--we were the only ones there.

For the past few years, the waterway was full of ice making its way downriver.  Today is March 2nd, the water is so blue and crystal clear, there is no ice to be seen anywhere.  Sadly for some parts of the Midwest, they are enduring the tornadoes from yesterday and again today.  We have been fortunate here, no tornadoes have been reported and the weather is very mild with calm skies.  It is 41 degrees outside today and away we went for a stroll in the park.

Beautiful daughter Lola and my cute grand puppy Rosco

Free flowing blue, blue water.  No ice.
