UBA TUBA IS HERE!

The Vivacious Uba Tuba
Uba Tuba Island.  The beauty of it all!
The granite cometh!  It arrived!  It is here!  The counter tops were installed today.  Beautiful Uba Tuba granite  (that really is the name of it) is the granite we had installed over the island chiffon cabinets.  Ubatuba, the origin of the granite, is a city in Brazil on Sao Paulo's North Shore.  It is a dark green colored stone with a speckling of brown, gold, and black.  We chose it because we thought it was black, you have to look at it in direct sunlight to notice the dark green.  Placed over our Kona colored cabinets, we have Bianco Antico--a pretty multi-color granite also from Brazil. Bianco Antico is mainly white and grey, there is taupe, reds, and black in the veining, with a sprinkling of  silver streaks throughout.  It sure is a good feeling to see a kitchen counter top again, even better-seeing beautiful granite as the counter top.  An added bonus-they installed our beautiful black granite sink too, still no running water in the kitchen, but I'm confident I'll see a kitchen tap with water running in a day or two.  Time for a celebration!  Yahoo!
